Watching the automagic gallery of Pixel Pix portraits come to life as people tweet is maybe my favorite part of this whole experience.
Thanks to everyone who has tweeted or posted about the app! I really appreciate your support. During beta testing, a lot of people told me, “this thing is going to blow up!” But the reality of the internet and the app store market is that things only blow up if people like you tell your friends to download the app.
So if you’d like to help me out and make sure Pixel Pix really does blow up, please share it with your Twitter and Facebook friends!

AND HEY FOLKS, don’t think for one second that just because I’m doing lots of pixelized photos, I have stopped spending unreasonable amounts of time drawing tiny superheroes.
Here’s a tour of the features I was able to flesh out today, including MULTIPLE LAYERS and PIXEL STICKERS, ZOMG.
Here is another progress video of the one of the new features I am working on for the next release of Make Pixel Art.
You can now drag isometric boxes in any direction to create 3D boxes with only two gestures. The boxes automagically shade themselves, so all you’ve got to do is fill in the details to create isometric buildings and other objects.
I am adding some really awesome features to Make Pixel Art for the next release.
Have you ever wanted to create isometric pixel cubes with your fingers?

Up, up and away.
Working on a new idea.
Inspired by this photo on Mlkshk, I drew this tiny repeating tile of North Korean generals. Thank you, Internet.
