Last night we went on the Austin Social Ride, a group bike ride through the city. There were about 200 people, and we rode from the pedestrian bridge, through South Austin, to Barton Springs where we went night swimming. Arriving at the spring like this was awesome - everyone arrived all at once, stripped their clothes off, popped beers, and leapt into the cool water.
It was a new moon, so the night was extra special. We even met and talked to a few strangers! I am so proud of us.
After the swim, Katie and I went to Sandy’s for burgers and frozen custard cones. Sandy’s has been open in the same location since 1946! Can you imagine making hamburgers for 63 years?!
I actually heard about the ride on Tumblr. Go, team internet!
