Tug Of Love. (by James Peake)
This newish album by The Chap is great. Embedded above is the entire album, sped up so that it’s only 3 minutes long. But the real album is totally awesome too. I bought it from Amazon.
Matthew Dear’s latest album comes as a hand-cast aluminum totem.
The Ghostly Store - MDBC Totem
Unlike current delivery methods, the totem is a physical format for cloud-based listening, an acknowledgment of two seemingly irreconcilable notions: the need for a tangible representation of music and a future in which music utterly ethereal.
The album is also available as a digital download.
Our new office building is the coolest… though maybe not the best place to have a client meeting on certain nights.
This week, we:
I am super proud of the company we are building. Now that we are in a real office, with a real employee, it feels like we are really going places.
I am really surprised at how satisfying it is to have our intern working on stuff while I’m working on other things - namely the things I don’t want to do. I am now at least 1.5x more productive!
Our office is literally in the middle of a local TV station’s office, so all around us are video editors and creative folks. It is loud and wacky. This evening, they are hosting a party featuring a heavy metal band and parking lot wrestling!
I have a feeling that my work life is about to get a lot more interesting.
I like how my iPhone camera interpreted this work by Dan Flavin.
I am trying not to take any pictures of the actual works of art in Marfa, but I really liked this one by John Chamberlain. For a piece of crushed, twisted metal, it is so filled with motion and energy, it almost feels organic.

Dakota and Allison wowed the entire town of Marfa with their karaoke performances last night. They are the talk of the town. Our tour guide, also a redhead, told Dakota this morning that people had complimented him on his singing - until hearing about Dakota’s performance, he didn’t understand why since he hadn’t sung.
This is a cactus in front of the Thunderbird hotel in Marfa, TX.
This does not count as a cat picture!
